Perfect! The -o mynetworks is what I was missing. This is not open outside the firewall or to our public internal networks (just to our public private network) so the only thing I am concerned about is some of my wonderful students causing problems. I am logging all access to the port I use with ufw to keep an eye on this.
Thanks again for everyone's help. cheers, ski On 01/18/2011 05:33 PM, Tom Limoncelli wrote: > On Tue, Jan 18, 2011 at 5:31 PM, Ted Cabeen<t...@cabeen.org> wrote: >> Pass the alternate main.cf options to smtpd on that line with: >> "-o name=value." > > Ah! > > http://serverfault.com/questions/161829/can-i-have-postfix-relay-for-everyone-on-a-second-port > mentions: > 2525 inet n - - - - smtpd -o mynetworks=10.0.0.0/8 > > Tom > -- "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it connected to the entire universe" John Muir Chris "Ski" Kacoroski, kacoro...@gmail.com, 206-501-9803 or ski98033 on most IM services _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list Tech@lists.lopsa.org https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
