Hi,

I was looking for some replacement 147GB 10k SCSI drives today, and it
looks like no one makes them anymore. Seagate and Toshiba seem to be
the only suppliers left, and they only offer 15k in that size. I
could buy drives directly from HP, but they're listed at triple the
price.

I'm wondering if anyone knows when 10k were phased out, and if someone
is aware of a roadmap for when scsi drives might be phased out
completely. I'm thinking I might have to budget for replacing servers
(or stock piling drives) because of drive availability; that hadn't
occurred to me before. I guess I should double check RAM availability
too, though those don't wear out nearly as much.

Sadly the new server fairy doesn't come around here often.

Thanks.
