sort of, yes. you *can* run IP over IB, but it isn't quite the same as
ethernet. Also it has very different cabling than (10/100/1000BaseT). It
has some wonderous features, like RDMA and PtP connections.
Vendors claim IP over IB achieves 35GBit/s - but so far I'm getting
7GBit/s ;(
