Hi everyone -- at $WORK, we currently have six racks powered by our UPS. We want to extend power to a second row of six racks. A local contractor has recommended the APC Modular Power Distribution system -- the PDPM144F (144 kW) in particular -- as it makes for easy expansion (plug and go, no need to schedule downtime, etc.) later on. As our current UPS is at about 1/3 capacity, expansion beyond these six racks is certainly possible. Pretty much everything we have is from APC, so it's compatible (FWIW) and we're happy with APC products.
From what I can tell, this is a fairly new product. The specs seem
quite promising, but I'd be grateful for your thoughts. Have you had
a chance to see this installed anywhere, or to install it yourself?
