Hi Stephan,

Generally you cannot go wrong with Intel NICs. I've used them a great
deal with in and out of AoE SANs and been pleased.

Switchwise I have had great success with the Dell 6224 and 6248 as
well has the HP 2910 in the gigabit realm. These are the access layer
switches that do well in AoE SANs. All datacenter class switches from
the major vendors e.g. Cisco 4500 and up, Juniper EX4200 and up,
Enteresys S-series and various Brocades should do fine but I've not
used/tested them. The 10G realm seems to do well regardless of
vendor/model but I have hands on experience with 10G switches from
Arista.
