lots of platforms. It's probably a lot more complex and expensive
than we need to solve out current requirements.
Rolling our own with OpenLDAP could do the job, but there is a bit of
reluctance to do that because of compliance issues.
Any suggestions?
I've been quite happy with OpenDJ ( http://opendj.forgerock.org/ ).
It's open source, but 3rd party integrators and/or commercial support
are available if desired. OpenDJ is a fork of OpenDS, rising from the
ashes of the former Sun :-) I'm running it on RedHat, but I believe it
should run under SLES just fine.
