We install our "iron" in a protected network, which allows no inbound connections. We're not a big shop, less than ten racks, so the install process isn't fully automated. It is fully documented, however. This allows us flexibility, without losing the ability to reproduce the install. After the server is patched, we run the Puppet agent for a base configuration. Then, the server is placed in the proper VLAN. At this point, we do everything hands off: deploying virtual servers, configuring services, etc. -- Groet, Hans _______________________________________________ Tech mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tech This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
