Good Day to the List, Here at $WORK I manage a COBOL Hybrid Student Information/Tuition/Accounts Receivable System. It is scheduled to be phased out. The Student Billing/Tuition/AR side is not going to be part of the new SIS and I am searching for a replacement. My boss wants me to find what the Colleges/Universities are using. Most of the Private school districts he has spoken with mostly contract this out and don't go into the detail we do with all of our Fees and Scholarships/Grants.
There is a slim chance (and slim has his bus ticket to get out of town) that the current system may get a reprieve (just for tuition/AR) but we have to look. In my search so far I have found a package called PeopleSoft SEADS Student Billing System. It is used at Haverford College. I am trying to get in touch with someone there to see if that might one of the candidates. If anyone on the list works at a University/College and maybe has some type of contact with their Bursar/Registrar/Student Billing Department I'd appreciate a reply. I would just like to see what other people are using to bill their Student Tuition and Fees. You can reply off list if you like. I will post the list of packages I get at the end of this (if any.)
