I less wear a beeper (pager) than keep it with me in a pocket. :P Some of the non-SA people I've spoken with also didn't know they still existed, and then go on to tell me how they used to have one in high school and haven't seen them since.
fwiw, in my other pocket I have my smartphone w/ 3 (sometimes 4) different alerting mechanisms ready to go.
