What push stuff? I've always had puppetd pulling configs from the puppetmaster. https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/2045 I see someone requested push a couple years ago. Has it been implemented and shipped and you've already used it and given up on it? What's wrong with running puppet daemonized? You run it from cron? How is puppet going to start your cron?
