I use it at home. It cuts down the amount of outside attacks I see on my router.
I have two outside feeds, and they are willing to allow two IP addresses to be protected for one home connection. You just have to communicate directly and let them know your situation for them to authorize it. A local college uses it, and they have saved a lot of unwanted inbound traffic.
