locally, we have good experience with teh 6540 array, and i will likely
be getting a 6140 for my next big array. i have tested their performance
(6540 and 6140) and found it outstanding. they allow fine control
over various low level raid parameters that others (like EMC and
hitachi)
don't support.
pricing questions are, of course, purely local affairs.
and mostly, they dominate this choice.
