Is anyone using Xirrus wireless arrays along with Cisco 7920 or 7921 phones? I
want to know if you've been able to smooth out audio issues when the phones
roam between Xirrus radios.

We are hearing an obvious audio drop out whenever a phone roams between IAPs on
the Xirrus arrays. This happens regardless of whether it's roaming between
IAPs in the same array or IAPs in neighboring arrays (they are all on the same
layer-2 VLAN). The audio drops for anywhere from a half second up to a couple
seconds. It's noticeable every time a roam happens.

We also use these same phones on Cisco autonomous APs with a WLSM behind them
and the roaming is completely transparent to the end user. Even when I'm
watching the neighbor list on the phone to see when the roaming happens, I
can't discern any problems with the audio. Yes, I understand that the WLSM and
the phones are doing something special (maybe even proprietary) to orchestrate
those hand-offs.

Has anybody been successful at improving Xirrus/Cisco phone interaction to have
less audio drop-out than what I'm seeing?
