I need to secure some equipment in a multi-tenant telco closet. The
perfect solution for that would be a rack-mountable mini-cabinet
that's ventilated. Such a critter does exist, at least in the past,
as another entity has a Chatsworth rack-mounted mini-cabinet that's
mounted in a 2-post rack.

I've gone through the Chatsworth catalog ad nauseum and have done a
multitude of different online searches in an attempt to find what I'm
looking for, but so far I'm coming up blank.

What I want to do is to secure a couple of rack-mountable switches and
a couple of appliance firewalls -- so maybe 8U tops, preferrably
within an enclosure that can be mounted in a 2-post 19" rack so that
noone can easily access the switches or the firewall appliances to
muck with them.

Wall-mount is not currently a favored option for multiple reasons,
although it may be a fall-back.

I've looked at the security covers and they do a nice job of
protecting the front of rack-mounted equipment, but don't address the
issue of having loose equipment that isn't actually mounted.

Any ideas?

TIA,

M
