Hello LOPSA Tech, I wanted to let you know about a thing called "The SysAdvent Calendar" that could really use your help.
It was started last year by Jordan Sissel (http://www.semicomplete.com/), and it's essentially an advent calendar of useful blog entries instead of chocolates. You can find last years online here: http://sysadvent.blogspot.com/ Unfortunately, we didn't get a lot of community help, and it ended up being Ben Rockwood (http://www.cuddletech.com/blog/) and I doing one entry a piece and Jordan handling the other 23. I have no idea how he did it, but it was a superhuman effort. It shouldn't have been like that, and I am entreating all of the technically minded folks that I can to join this year and contribute to the calendar. I'm going to get started on a few this week, but I was hoping that you would find time to contribute some writing as well. We've got a Google Group set up and have a page for ideas ( http://groups.google.com/group/sysadvent/web/article-ideas?pli=1) that would be interesting to the sysadmin community at large. What do you say? Would you contribute an article or two to help out? Matt Simmons http://www.standalone-sysadmin.com -- LITTLE GIRL: But which cookie will you eat FIRST? COOKIE MONSTER: Me think you have misconception of cookie-eating process.
