Let's see if there are any fellow administrators of radio systems on the
list... :-)

According to what I've been able to find in Google, the LTR trunking protocol
doesn't seem to have a "broadcast" feature in it. What I'm looking for is the
ability to transmit a voice message that all mobiles/portables will receive,
regardless of which LTR repeater/talk group the user is listening to.

My fleet consists of Kenwood TK-3180, TK-3173 and TK-8180 radios. In the Zone
Edit screen, they have a "Fix ID" feature that seems like it could be used
(abused?) to accomplish what I'm looking for. If I tell each zone to listen
for the same talk group in as its first Fix ID, this should effectively give me
a broadcast talk group. I think.

Does anyone have any relevant experience/knowledge on this topic?
