The Linux utility wouldn't be the main problem in the "locate" scenario.  I
considered just running a cron job to generate a txt file in the form:
inodenum filename
Generate an index file for the whole filesystem.  I guessed that would take
... I don't know ... an hour.

But the granularity of snapshots is every 15 minutes.  So if anything is
going to perform an exhaustive index periodic operation and be useful ...
it's got to be *really* fast.  I don't think it's a viable option.
