I cannot speak firsthand on the issue other than the SATA SCSI3 signalling is
doing something undocumented/unexpected.
With the CD-Drive out of the system, then the system functions.(Did you
attempt to try using a DATA-CD {An AOL coaster might work here} )My Suggestion
in the interim is to either use a PATA interface Drive, or a USB interface
Drive, or a USB Flash thumb drive.
