I have attempted to bring an Intel card, though there were multiple
cards the same name that were incompatible, so I can't say for sure that
it was broke or if I had the "wrong" EtherExpress 16 card. There have
been "I couldn't get this working" reports on the mail lists...many many
years ago, dating back to when ISA cards were expected and PCI was
pretty cool, can't wait to get one. Already sounds like a "not worth
the trouble" card, doesn't it?

3c507 seems to be another relatively rare card, I don't recall ever
having come across one in the wild.

I'd not miss this going away. I'll extend my 3c509 replacement offer to
the Intel and 3c507 cards. :)

Nick.
