As seen by at least ajacoutot, myself and various others (e.g. the thread including http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=123598831213309) some systems hang frequently with apmd, sometimes only when flags that automatically change speed are used, or in at least aja's case, when apmd is used at all.
I've been running apmd without flags for a while and it has been totally stable (so much so that I forgot about the problem) but I was reminded of this recently when Rivo (anoncvs.estpak.ee operator) mentioned he had problems with his x220 and I suggested this might be a cause. If nobody has ideas as to a possible cause/fix that doesn't break other machines, can we at least add a caveats section somewhere, probably the apmd(8) manual, warning of it?
