Only miod and martynas can swing this the right way. I disagree with Ted about making this a seperate page, since that would remove a vital component of floating point knowledge from programmers, that being: not all floating point is the same, not all of it is ieee, and not even ieee implementaiton is consistant. Some visibility must remain to show that there is sausage being made here.
