Ok. I didn't check old releases. I assumed that these features were removed, so that is my fault. This can be defined that old features are kept for backwards compatibility reasons, as long as it is a standard compliant. Sounds good "golden mean" to me. I agree that there is no hurry, because strict POSIX 2008 code works. However, wrong behavior still disturb me little. First thing to do is clean up base, and then maybe change behavior some point of future, that old behavior is in _BSD_VISIBLE. -Matti
