Doesn't appear to cause any regressions on the haswell/C226 machine I
tested the initial I217 support on:

"Intel I217-LM" rev 0x05

or x230 with:

"Intel 82579LM" rev 0x04

or x250 with:

"Intel I218-LM" rev 0x03
