If there is a bug in code, that's a problem. A missing node is no real fuss here. Day by day, fewer and fewer people are going to be affected IF THEY FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED PROCEDURES OF USING UPGRADE... Sometimes "make build && reboot" isn't complete; we don't allow the possibility of that occurance from slowing down process in a significant way.
