i wouldn't complain, because i never use accented characters, not even on my resume. :) but i don't think there's anything wrong with a little testing of the utf-8 functionality, either. and it always sucks to lose information if somebody went to the trouble of recording the necessary accents already. we use utf-8 for calendars, too.
