I don't expect this phy context patch to have any impact on the bug you are seeing. These are unrelated bugs. This new driver is going to have several bugs which still need to be found and fixed, for quite a while. It's great that you have a reproducible test case for your particular bug. This should help with finding a sweet spot for adding a DELAY to work around the bug you are seeing.
