  As a follow up, I got a usb-c stick and installed -current to that. It boots the system so I now have a dmesg, pcidump and usbdump for you:

Installation works fine but neither the 3.50, 3.54 or 3.55 UEFI bootloaders can read the disk label so it's unbootable.
