I had a few important changes in there and drm related crashes whilst editing/testing /etc/X11/xorg.conf did result in that file being empty afer reset and fsck, so a backup would be valuable.
xorg.conf(5) lists a various .../xorg.conf and .../conf.d/*.conf files, but the single (default?) path seems enough. Feedback? Objection? OK?
