Duration: Position is for 1872 hrs (client could have a 35 hrs work week) Rate: Pls provide your lowest rate. *Need candidates LOCAL to NYC/NJ. Or the vendor should be able to fly the consultant at vendor expense for F2F interview * The individual must be experienced and technically qualified IBM eServer zSeries z/990 mainframe based z/VM, z/LINUX and public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security related Systems Programmers and Administrators. *MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered*. * A Specialist III Mainframe Systems Programming and Administration z/VM, z/LINUX, LDAP, WebSphere application server, Edge Server and Workload Management, TCP/IP and PKI minimum experience of 8-10 years mainframe based. * Architectural design, development, deployment, and maintenance of z/VM and z/LINUX systems. Program products, Applications systems and administration. * Resource planning and organization and leadership of team meetings. * Ability to work with and communicate verbally and written with people at all levels. * Manage projects and tasks from initial creation, development, and deployment through implementation. Excellent writing skills. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE * Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner. * Experience in working in Government related projects and specific law enforcement projects would be plus.. The individual in this role is responsible for providing the z/OS, z/VM, z/LINUX and security related technical expertise necessary to maintain and support these computer systems and applications vital to day-to-day functioning of the Department. Several of these mission critical application systems have no tolerance for down time or loss of data integrity and operate in a High availability (HA) architecture environment. Our IBM z/Architecture s/390 z/990 based mainframe*s run z/OS in a parallel sysplex environment and z/VM z/LINUX in a HA environment.
