Hmm. Like you try to select it from the list and it does not accept it
as an account? Have you recently
deleted then re-created an account with the same name? This is a global account correct? -----Original

necessary, that is where I am getting my error, it won’t let me use it. -----Original

be used for the directory replication service? -----Original
Message----- I’m attempting to startup directory replication on
Win NT 4.0 (I know, it’s archaic), when following administration tech lab book,
it states to create a repl account and use it to access the repl
directories. We have followed the
directions to the letter, but when we go in to set up the replication start up
procedures, we keep getting an Error 1057-Account name invalid or does not
exist. Any thoughts???? There will be more questions coming,
I’m sure. Eric Hadden |
