Hello Jackson, this was discussed on yesterday's TB meeting, and this appears quite similar to the existing GNOME and KDE microrelease exceptions.
So we approved a provisional exception for XFCE to see how the first few microrelease updates go. For each update the main use cases for the component should be described and tested. Jackson Doak [2014-06-27 17:51 +1000]: > xfce core: > other (xfce made): These seem fine. > xfce related: > catfish > lightdm-gtk-greeter > light-locker > menulibre > mugshot These are not controlled by the XFCE upstream stable policy, and are also being used outside of Xubuntu, so the above exception does *not* include these. These related packages will continue to be under the normal SRU policy (which still allows bug fixes). I put the core and other packages on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates/MicroReleaseExceptions/XFCE and will update the MRE wiki page as soon as this hits the ML archive.
