Dear Technical Board, Now that the SRU team directly handles new things hitting LTS releases, we're getting a number of things appearing in the NEW queue for Xenial.
There seems to be some confusion about whether these need AA review or not. IMHO, the confusion itself is slowing things down as different SRU team members hold different opinions on whether they're OK to accept these without an AA. Current examples are: chrome-gnome-shell (ready now), and some letsencrypt-related pieces (need review changes, but the question came up). The queue also currently contains flatpak and bubblewrap. Please could you clarify? Perhaps in the specific case of straight backports from the development release, where an archive admin (or Debian ftpmaster) has already accepted the package? Is it OK for the SRU team to review and accept these packages themselves when satisified, or must an archive admin review first? Thanks, Robie
