Hello, Are wireless routers which connect to a telephone ADSL 2+ broadband the same or different to wireless routers which connect to a fibre optic broadband service? I am considering buying a TP-Link TL-WR841N wireless router but am not clear on whether this is intended to connect to an SDSL telephone broadband service (which is the service of interest) or to connect to a cable service such as Virgin Media in the UK. I have looked at the TP-Link web site but am not sufficiently familiar with the jargon to be able to answer the above question. I am suspicious because the router is listed by Amazon as a cable router which makes me think it is for use with Virgin Media or the like. So are there different types of router for the different types of broadband or does it make no difference? Many thanks.
