Hi everyone!

Okay, here I am on my HP Notebook using JAWS 13.

Why did I change? Because I'm sick to death of the Screen Reading
package I own giving me trouble and not - in my view - doing what it
should be doing, I.E. reading what appears on the Screen reliably.

Yep, JAWS works with Thunderbird email client, I'm told that JAWS
requires some "Tweaking" in order that it should work with Thunderbird
properly, things seem to be working here without a problem.

I like and have always liked the way JAWS handles web pages in Internet
Explorer and the "Forms Mode" is now slick, you can enter "Forms" mode
automatically when you come upon an edit box or other form control and
that's far better than the product from the opposition.

I do understand that these "Forms Mode" features have been around in
JAWS for quite some time and are not new to JAWS 13, I really wish that
GW Micro would take some time to completely rewrite the MSAA stuff for
Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Scripts seem to work flawlessly thus far though I've had very little
time to play with JAWS, it hasn't even been on my system for 9 hours yet.

I was keen to try out the OCR feature which is actually a subset of
Omnipage. Yes, I was able to read the verifications on several web pages
but had trouble with some verification images on ebay and I'm not at all
surprised about that, after all! these images are supposed not to be
recognised by any OCR engines.

Again, early days and I've done very little, a lot to learn <smile>.
