Lynne, you'd mentioned trying an android based tablet/phone, and
thought you'd need to purchase a screen reader from somewhere.
While I have no doubt the code factory option is decent, and works,
I'd first suggest checking out google's screen reader which is part
of the eyes free package. It's called talk back, and while I've had
no success getting it to work on the tablet we have here, two friends
of mine have gotten it working perfectly on their android based
phones. It does appear to be written specifically for phones, but I
don't see why it can't be made to work on tablets, but I haven't
figured out how to get it to work on ours, though zI've not tried an
external memory card yet, which seemed to solve one person's problems
with making it work for them, so you might want to give talk back an
option before plunking down funds for something from code factory,
which from my extremely exposure, works identical to talk back anyhow.
