Hello all I have just remembered the talking model will be available
from mainstream shops later on this year. The product for now is
exclusive to RNIB but the exact same product will be available
mainstream later on in the year. Sorry for earlier confusion. What they
are saying though is if you already have the said model you can update
the firmware on it to get talking features etc. So that's why we all
have to pay VAT I think as well as the difficulties of buying the
correct model from mainstream suppliers today.
