Hello Dane The ComPilot is a remote control as well as a bridge. It controls the hearing instruments and it bridges the audio devices and the hearing instruments. It is the updated version of what used to be the Phonak iCom; of which Gordon has two. But I'm sure the ComPilot will be of more use when outdoors. One thing Gordon has noticed, speaking of iPhones and things is that the volume level of the iPhone 4S via a Bluetooth device is lower than the old 3GS used to be with the same device.
Now, diversifying the conversation a little more. The Jawbonr® Jambox is also a bit of a problem with the iPhone 4S because, unless there's a firmware update, it doesn't like Siri at all. So we may end up looking at the new bigger model because that one does support it. Shame really because in every other respect the Jambox is perfectly adequate for what we need.
