The more you the look then the more there is to see <smile>.
Just bought a Uniden Bluetooth hands free/speaker system for my iPhone.
It got some nifty reviews and it seems that the "Speakerphone"
capabilities of this unit are all that they're claimed to be, full
duplex and no dropouts.
In a review I found with "Google" the writer says that this system is
the best he's ever used with his iPhone for a conference call, no
dropouts at his end and - according to the other participants in the
conference - according to the writer - - they were able to hear him
clearly at all times.
I'll see whether the writer of the review is telling the truth, the
Uniden system was only 18 pounds.
I'm afraid the hands free of the Jawbone Jambox - both regular and big
size - is somewhat of a disappointment though the "Speakerphone" isthe
only flaw in the Jawbone systems, speakers sound pretty good.
Sure, it works but only just and not ideal for cars or in environments
where there may be more than one person present or a considerable amount
of background noise.
I have another bluetooth "Speakerphone" hands free system here which was
made for one of our local electronics stores here and its "Spearphone"
is the best I've used thus far, mirrors many of the qualities the
reviewer of the Uniden system makes mention of and has an incredibly
good volume range. The system has been designed in souch a way that if
you have the volume level up high then this won't interfere with the
microphone of the "Speakerphone", it also has other nice bells and
whistles which make it flexible, it can transmit the audio on the FM
band for example, I've found this useful when I've wanted to hear the
conversation through something with even better speakers than this
device has tthough this facility is really designed for in-car use so
that the sound of the conversation gets heard over your car radio.
