There is a publicly available trial version of Windows 8 that you can
mess around with and see if you want to upgrade or not. So long as you
have a Microsoft Account you are able to download it at no charge. It is
the enterprise edition and once activated it is good for 90 days. no
product key is required. Just search for Windows 8 evaluation.
