Hi all OK, if you're interested in this, we now have our servers safely established. I am currently in the process of uploading som material to our cloud, just so that there's no dead air. This station is going to be so cool! When we are not broadcasting live, the cloud automatically kicks in and, when we want to broadcast live, the cloud fades and the live connection is established. We have plenty of storage, which means that we can also handle pre-recorded programming. It doesn't have to be music! We can now also accept podcasts and audio demos. Actually, it's that sort of thing which we would prefer to put up in the cloud so that it is on-demand listening. We hav oodles of bandwidth, so you don't need to worry about drop-out. When we are broadcasting live, (at least, when I am), there will be a link on our website to request songs. When we are not broadcasting live, there will be another link to allow listeners to request "items", including podcasts and other pre-recor ded material, from our library. And, best of all, if things work out the way I am hoping and I get past the beta stage, there will be an iPhone App as well! Watch this space for further details. if you are interested in either joining us as a broadcaster of either live or pre-recorded content, we would love to hear from you. If that happens, we will set up an account for you so that you can manage your own content on the server. We're not actually hosting the station on our own servers, it's a British company we are using and they offer far better pricing and far better functionality than does Station Playlist, for example.
