Hi all

Can anybody recommend me a desktop microphone? It has to be an Electret
(amplified) microphone because it would appear that the sound card I have
doesn't like my dynamic (Moving Coil) microphone, as it seems that the levels
are not high enough and I'm getting absolutely zero output from it. It's
strange actually because using the old faithful, Griffin Technologies "iMic", I
have no problems with that microphone at all. It is actually a very high
quality microphone as far as they go, but it is moving coil and is not
producing the levels required to drive the input. Shame, it's a really small
and very good quality Sony "clip-on" microphone designed for portable use.

Anyway I'm babbling. If anybody in the UK yin particular has a desktop
microphone I'd love to know about it if it's an amplified (Electret) model,
along with possible supplier.
