Hi Actually if you read the manual you'd find that charging the device from a hub is the cause of the problem. The manual states clearly and very specifically this should not happen. You are supposed to charge them directly from the computer. I'm not saying you are in the wrong, but as a general rule it's not a good idea to charge anything via a USB hub because of the difference in potential to ground which the device has.
