Hi guys,
So a colleague and I were looking at some PowerPoint slides today and
we noticed the following things with JAWS 12, 13 and 14:
1. There are two ways to pull up a list of hyperlinks with JAWS and
Powerpoint, insert-f7 and ctrl-shift-enter.
2. Even though you can, in Word, right click on a hyperlink and put
display text in the text field, the list of links does not come up
correctly in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 with JAWS. JAWS either displays
random text or just displays the hyperlink. If you put in the display
text using Word, the links list displays correctly.
3. In addition, the links are not indicated as such in the PowerPoint slides.
If you press F5 and view the slides in presentation mode using JAWS so
you can't edit them, links just show up as the display text you write
in the edit field where you can put text in for the hyperlink. However,
JAWS reports there are no links if you try and open up the links list.
According to the nVDA web site, PowerPoint accessibility won't be
implemented until the next release of that screen reader.
What is PowerPoint support like using bot Mac OS and iOS?
Thanks,
Mary
