Hi all Well, after a great deal of head-scratching regarding technical problems, I'm pleased to say that Sparkle Radio is now once again live. But that's not the end of it; it gets better. As well as the Shoutcast 2 service we now also have an IceCast 2 service available. this latter works fine with iTunes and, I would presume, Winamp and most other media players. I'll be updating the Sparkel website very soon to accommodate the new services. But I am announcing this now because it means that Techno Chat, our technology show, is also now going to stream again. We have a full series of demos on the Mac application "ProTools" coming up shortly. As well as Roger's own offering which he very kindly put together for us recently. "What Is A Weather Station?". I'm hoping that this article will go to air at 19:00 BST which is 18:00 UTC today. If anybody is interested in submitting audio demos of anything for broadcast via this media, we'd be grateful for all offerings.
I will announce the details of the new services very shortly, but I must say that it's great to ne back live again. The technical problems are now behind us. And finally, if anybody is interested in having a shot at doing their own kind of thing via Sparkle Radio, be it pre-recorded material or live broadcasting, we are always on the lookout for new broadcasters. We will give as much or as little help as the broadcaster requires.
