Interesting, I remember when I first started using Express Talk, all I had in those days was a computer and an ADSL II modem and the product worked.
Now perhaps I'm lucky, all I had to do was to type in my registration information for my VOIP provider. Now my network is more advanced but I'm still using the same basic Express Talk configuration. Absolutely zip! No port forwarding, none of the other things mentioned above. It just, simply, worked right out of the box. It was quite good, actually.
