As a footnote to my last message, I haven't used iTunes to purchase music for over 12 months, if I want music then I use Spotify, Sky.Fm Pandora etc.
With these services you don't actually own physical media but that doesn't concern me all that much. Sky.Fm's variety of music is nothing short of amazing! all the new channels that have come online over the last 12 months. I have a Premium subscription with both Spotify and Sky.Fm, well worth the money for both services.
