Yeah, but trust me, there are ways around this. With help of Soundflower,
and Audio Hijack Pro, you could route Skype through Soundflower, and then
trick audio hijack Pro or for that mind, Piezo or the like to record it
anyway. If worst came to worst, I'll bet you that people would probably
route the in/out from Skype's audio through a send bus, and then capture it
on an auxiliary track with a mono audio bus receive on a channel strip. So
yeah, trust me, there are ways. It's kind of like saying: oh, you can't
record NLS books as they're digitally locked just to IOS or the players, or
oh, you can't copy that Blue Ray or DVD's disc audio, or, oh, you can't
copy that DRM protected audio file, etc. Hmm, Really? Ever heard of patch
coreds? Trust me. Yeah you can with the right hardware. Granted, I'm not
promoting! anyone do that. Let's get this very? very? very? clear up front.
I, did, not! say copy things illegally. I'm only saying that, you! choose
to do what you will with the info I gave in this message. If you choose to
abuse it? I'm not to blame, as that's you're deal at that point. I'm not
the one doing it. I'm simply saying, technically speaking, it could be
done. Anyway, I'm really! getting veered from this initial thread, so I'll
shut up. The point is: they can say all they want that Skype cannot be
recorded, but news flash! No offense to Microsoft or whoever, but they're
never! totally gonna cause it to not be recorded, realisticly speaking.
It's more or less, how hard and desperet really are you to do it. There are
always line in/out jacks, and patch cords, etc. Maybe software speaking you
won't be able to, but someone's gonna see that and go, well, sh**! Fine!
I'll just riggit with some hardware gear.
Chris.

Subject: Recording From Skype
Hi!
It would appear that after December 2013, all versions of Skype will have
the ability for third party software to record calls removed, see article
below.
