Hi all
This weekend, I plan to complete my project of audio reviews on
3 different OCR hardware solutions. I will be demonstrating the
AbiSee Eye-Pal ROL, the Freedom Scientific Pearl/Openboek suite
and the Freedom Scientific Sara CE. We'll put these up on our
website for the benefit of anybody who may want to download any
or all of them. If I can find a way to satisfy the new iTunes
requirements, I'll try to activate our new Podcast which will
contain the same material, only it will be available in the
iTunes Store as a free download.
For those who do not know, the AbiSee Eye-Pal ROL is a totally
stand-alone portable OCR solution which has dual device-mounted 5
megapyxil HD cameras, configured to take a snapshos of anything
under the camera within the viewing area of a typical Abled sheet
of paper in landsscape mode.
The Sara and Sara CE are similar devices, and the
Pearl/openbook is the version which uses a PC.
More on all of these later this weekend, all being well.
