OK, before I provide this link, I need to say something, and I hope that you all take this for the gentle way I intend for it to come across.
The other presentor, Ben Bloomgren which was present in tonight's lesson was having some absolutely horriffic! audio technical trouble at the beginning of the lesson. So bad, I almost had to ban him out of the room for the time being. To make a long story short, for those who've not heard the archive nor attended tonight, I won't bore you with the technicalities, but he had things configured completely wrong on his end without realizing. For this reason, you got an extremely extremely loud, and I do mean, loud! infinent loopback of the entire audio being streamed through the webinar. It's about 10 or 15 minutes into the lesson when this occurs. It happens about 2 times. After the second time, I told him to leave the room, or he'd be kicked. He finally rejoined us once the problem was resolved. My point in explaining this is to say, I've gotten a few very very! nasty e-mails already off list about how the lesson was totally unprofessional. Let me sum things up to say , firstly, it was an accident! Ben did not realize what was happening at first until I notified him publicly as well as privately. So, I kindly ask that people refrane from the very very disrespectful comments. We're dealing with computers, and we're also dealing with humans. Neither of which are 100% perfect. glitches can occur, and accidents do happen! this said, I kindly beg your major pardon and profusely apologize for the audio glitch at the beginning. We now know what happened, and assure you that it's not going to occur again now that we've pinpointed down the cause. Once I start talking about downloading NVDA, that is when it occurs, so once you hear that, get ready. It's pretty loud, and believe me, it'll scare the pants off of you, if you're not ready for it. that's why I'm warning you all. I could edit it, but contextually, it would be difficult to do yet keep the flow of things. I hope sincerely this doesn't turn anyone off from attending the lessons going forward. As I said, it was a bad booboo, but, things do happen. OK, here's the link to the mp3 file. Also, we found the issue with why the direct download link to NVDA didn't work. that was actually not our falt. It had to do with something on our web host provider's end which was out of our control entirely, but has since been completely fixed. the link now should work. Anyway, here's the mp3. http://www.wlessons.com/nvda/lesson01.mp3 Chris. ======================================= The Techno-Chat E-Mail forum is guaranteed malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and worm-free To modify your subscription options, please visit for forum's dedicated web pages located at http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/techno-chat You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Techno-Chat group at either of the following websites: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/techno-chat/index.html Or: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> you may also subscribe to this list via RSS.
