Hi Roger This time, I’m doing things far more professionally than I did the last effort! You will be receiving a private message from me this weekend whereby I shall invite you to try out our new service which, I am pleased to be able to tell you, is now up and running on test.
As I said, this time things will be better. There will be no down time of the current service. I will simply set up DNS to reflect the change when I’m ready. Meanwhile, Roger, here is what I am going to be doing. Instead of immediately switching over the mac-access.net domain, I shall make available the service on mac-access.co.uk instead. That way I can bring it on line without in any way interfering with the current server. That way, those of us with access, (and you’ll be one of them) can send messages backward and forward to our hearts’ content to test things out and make sure that it works OK. I am having to modify the default web pages because they have severe accessibility issues. But the developer of the server solution we’re going with this time is quite proactive and they have intimated that they are very willing to produce an accessible version of the web pages. So watch this space. I can now confirm that it will be this weekend, definitely, when testing begins. If anybody else is interested in lending a hand, let us know by contacting the support address for the other list, as this one isn’t on line yet.
